re: John's father

From the Staley, Cheshire Tax records (FamilySearch), there there was a Jno Dearnely alive in 1799 who appeared at least through 1804. In 1803 to 1805 there are two Jno Dearnaly entries. In 1804 there's John Dearnally and Jno Dearnally. John Dearnaly (variant spellings) continues through 1809.
Was one this John, the brother of Amos, and the other their father?
Perhaps significantly both Amos & John Dearnaley named their firstborn sons John.

* This seems to be incorrect as Joseph would have been in his 8th year. FindMyPast has the MI for Joseph d.1786 showing him born 1769. Parents Deborah & John were married in 1775. Perhaps a problem with the original reading and/or typing by NCFHS.
