Permitting Drunkenness
Henry Mellor, beerhouse keeper Hinchliff Mill, was charged with permitting drunkenness in his house at Hinchliff Mill on the 15th inst. Mr Meller appeared for the defence. Police Constable McKenzie stated that he went to the defendant's house in company with Police Constable Alderman and found three men named Ben Dearnley, Samuel Green and Wright Newton on the premises drunk.
