Will of John Hollingworth of Tintwistle gent, dated 29 July 1689 and proved at Chester on 12 July 1693.
The whole of Hollingworth's estate is bequeathed to Robert his son, out of which £600 is to be paid to each of his daughters, Alice, Grace, Anne and Deborah. His wife Alice is to have use of the rooms of "the Hall" [?Tintwistle Hall]. An annual rent charge of 10s is also to be raised to pay for a preaching minister at Woodhead Chapel. The daughters are appointed as executors, Robert Hyde of Denton [pa. Manchester co. Lancs] his brother in law as overseer.

Administration is granted to Alice Hollingworth his widow, the daughters being minors.

In Alice's 1715 will she gives "... and bequeaths to my cursin/cusain Samuel Reddish a silver cup and a book named an Exposition of the New Testament." Although Alice and Samuel are two generations apart, he would have been 9 years old when Alice married John Hollingworth as a 31 year old and obviously thought of as a younger 'cousin'?
